The Transport Manager plays a key role in overseeing daily transport activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting smooth and timely operations to meet client needs.
- To plan and coordinate the transportation of construction material across various destinations efficiently.
- To develop and implement strategic operational policies and procedures to enhance overall transport company performance.
- To oversees daily transportation operations to ensure timely, safe, and efficient delivery of products.
- To pay insurance and registration of trucks on time.
- To manage the scheduling and allocation of vehicles and drivers to optimize productivity.
- To supervises and supports drivers and operational staff, ensuring strict adherence to road safety regulations and legal requirements.
- To negotiate and maintain contracts with clients and suppliers, fostering strong and sustainable business relationships.
- To oversee vehicles for repair schedules, and vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
- To plan and continuously optimize delivery routes to minimize costs and maximize service effectiveness.
- To track the real-time traffic conditions and adjusts schedules accordingly to prevent delays.
- To monitor the financial performance of the transport division, managing departmental budgets, fuel costs, maintenance expenses.
- To identify and implement cost-saving strategies to improve profitability.
- To recruits, trains, and leads a reliable and professional team of drivers and support personnel.
- To monitor driver performance, providing coaching and corrective measures to maintain service quality and safety standards.
- To investigate and document accidents or incidents, ensuring transparent and accurate reporting.
- To maintain up-to-date and detailed records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery schedules, and vehicle usage.
- To liaises effectively with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth transport operations and service excellence.
- To resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally, aiming to exceed client expectations.
Bachelors desired with 2 years of experience.
