Our Client Shailer Racing Pty Ltd is looking to add talented and enthusiastic horse trainers to their team in Bundall, Gold Coast. The ideal candidates will be committed to the health, fitness, and overall well-being of horses and will work closely with other staff to deliver high-quality care and training.
Responsibilities
- Work together with vets to keep horses healthy, strong, and happy.
- Train horses both on the ground and while riding to improve their skills and behavior.
- Make training programs that suit each horse’s needs and goals.
- Get horses ready for races, shows, work, or leisure riding by building up their fitness and focus.
- Guide riders and stable workers on how to handle, care for, and train horses safely.
- Notice and correct behavior issues in a gentle and effective way.
- Support stable staff with everyday horse care, such as feeding, cleaning, and grooming.
- Keep simple records of training, feeding, and any treatments or vet care.
- Always follow safety rules and make sure the stable and work areas are safe for both people and horses.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant study in equine science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the horse training industry.
