Our Client Maahal Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and motivated Engineering Technologist to join our telecommunications engineering team in Perth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the design, implementation, and optimisation of fibre optic and network infrastructure projects that support both residential and commercial internet services in line with NBN standards.
- Designing, developing, and implementing telecommunications solutions for residential and commercial internet connections in line with NBN standards.
- Evaluating and overseeing the provision of telecommunication services, including planning, feasibility studies, and optimisation of fibre optic networks.
- Preparing and reviewing technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation for network infrastructure works (pit & pipe systems, conduits, and fibre optic installations).
- Developing and monitoring technical methods, procedures, and work practices for fibre optic cable hauling, splicing, and testing to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Conducting investigations and diagnosing complex faults in data and communication networks, and implementing engineering-based solutions.
- Providing technical advice and support to management, clients, and field staff on telecommunication systems and emerging technologies.
- Ensuring compliance with engineering standards, NBN requirements, and WHS legislation in all project activities.
- Carrying out quality assurance and performance evaluations of fibre optic installations, pit and pipe systems, and other infrastructure.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation by researching and applying new telecommunication technologies and methodologies.
- Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
Bachelors degree + minimum 3 years of experience
